guest experience should be priority

My very esteemed hospitality brethren.  I am fully aware how difficult it has been, and probably will continue to be to revive this industry.  The amount and variety of challenges we face are countless, but fortunately, we are a relentless breed.     

What we should remember while healing though, is that an industry that had operational mechanisms in place that worked and were efficient has been turned on its head and without demonizing any part of this very horizontally integrated trade, improvisation and paradigm shifts will be the only way to survive.  Indeed, there is a “NEW NORMAL”, but the satisfaction of the guest is what will ensure the fastest road from recovering to thriving.

In our very particular case, personal care amenities, the disruption has been close to catastrophic.  But it begs the question, are we underserving the end client out of a lack of procedural flexibility?  I hear about shortages, and lead times, and transpacific sourcing costs, and tariffs, etc.

At some point and reiterating that we are not here to disrupt or demonize the system, we can’t but feel frustration with all the red tape when we manufacture 100% in North America.  Production times are beyond reasonable.  Transportation times between manufacturing plant and the U.S. is less than a day by truck.  We have beautiful lines, ethical sourcing with increasing environmental initiatives, but most importantly, WE ARE HERE TO HELP.

Whether it’s a brand, Management Group, owner, dealer, purchasing group, distributor, etc., who´s ready to break free of the status quo, and think outside the box for the benefit of the guest???
